Control Systems Engineer

The Control System Engineer will be accountable for improving and maintaining the control/automation systems within the processing plant. In addition, this role has a major focus on improving control processes and maintenance systems.

- Provide technical and troubleshooting support to operations and maintenance teams.
- Identify and implement process control and equipment improvements.
- Support other engineers and teams in the development and execution of capital upgrade projects, ensure projects are meeting standards and site requirements.
- Support the ongoing maintenance of control systems assets including PLCs, servers, networks and communications equipment and field devices.

Qualification
- 4-5 years in a maintenance or plant role in a relevant mining/processing or petroleum industry.
- PLC programming and hands-on commissioning experience across systems including Allen Bradley, Schneider, ABB and Siemens.
- Experience with ABB 800xa DCS is highly regarded.
- VSDs programming and system integration.
- Experience with industrial communication networks including Profibus and Modbus TCP/IP configuration.
- Experience with the installation and commissioning/optimizing of instrument control loops such as flow, pressure and level control.
- Skilled in installing, repairing and troubleshooting computer hardware and software e.g. Windows Server, VMWare.
- Experience in project delivery and commissioning activities.
- Proficient in Oral and written English
- Safety, Health, Environment and Community practices.
- Computer Literacy and knowledge of MS office.
