Mô tả công việc
The Platinum Global Continuous Improvement Leader role is a senior role which involves identifying and executing the CI improvement initiatives across all divisions within the business.
Reporting to the GM of Learning, Performance & Development, the CI Leader will deliver quantifiable results the improve business performance and bottom line results as well as providing equally important intangible improvements in customer and employee satisfaction.
The CI Leader role is a broad role and specific responsibilities will vary between Platinum Global’s divisions. However, the predominant requirements include:
• Recommend CI projects based on quantitive analysis of operational and financial data and qualitive data obtained through observations and discussions;
• Project manage approved CI initiatives by coordinating necessary resources, monitioring implemented budgets and managing timing controls to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget;
• Generate and enable measurement and assessment tools enabling operational & CI leaders to evaluate potential areas for CI actions;
• Assist with the coaching and training of managers and staff to develop, support and sustain a CI culture within the business;
As a senior role, working hours will be dictated by staff and customer requirements but, by necessity, will require work outside standard office hours.
By its nature, the role will require a diverse range of skills including:
• Lean and/or six sigma qualifications to correctly identify, plan and deliver CI initiatives in an efficient and effective manner;
• Change management skills that overcome the fear of change through actively listening to & responding to concerns and further supported through concise explanations of actions and expectations;
• Relationship/team building to create alignment across CI project participants as team members;
• Capable of formulating project plans with clear priorities and proactive mitigation of risk;
• Excellent communication skills to clearly define the purpose, responsibilities, expectations and results of each CI initiative;
• Sufficient empathy to nurture staff through periods of change and adequate drive to deliver projects in a timely manner;
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
This will include activities such as:
• Work closely with leadership to identify, charter and complete CI improvements across all areas of the business;
• Conduct assessments of the business including Kaizen events with the intent to improve an existing process;
• Determine the best CI and change management methodologies and tools to use for each opportunity, once selected properly and effectively apply the selected approach
• Overcome barriers and unforeseen obstacles that present during the execution phase of a project

As this is a senior role at Platinum Global, it requires that the position holder has outstanding capabilities across a broad range of key skills.
- Technical skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Experience in operations process improvement or related function.
• Participation in formal CI activities.
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methods
- Decision Making: The ability to use statistical tools to take appropriate risks taking into consideration multiple aspects of the business; company values, financial performance, customer satisfaction, quality of outputs and available resources.
- Teamwork: Work with teams across multiple functions or divisions, providing constructive feedback when required and support and alignment to agreed upon objectives.
- Leadership: Create a positive work environment where all staff are motivated to do their best and embrace change in a positive and proactive manner.
- Communication skills: Able to communicate effectively through with both management and team groups to clearly articulate the desired message. Additionally, demonstrate a capability to actively listen to ensure the real message is being heard.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Qualifications / experience Formal qualifications demonstrating the required is necessary and the successful candidate must have prior experience working in this field.
Technical knowledge and skills An excellent working knowledge, understanding and use of CI tools including Lean & Six Sigma methodologies.
Customer Service Understanding of the philosophy of internal customer service.
Leadership / management Undertaken a leadership role of this nature previously.
