Continuous Improvement Lead

The purpose of the Continuous Improvement function is to drive a culture and practice of excellence throughout our entire value chain, increasing customer satisfaction and improving profitability in a sustainable way. ABB's High Voltage Products team provides products which help enhance the safety, reliability and efficiency of power networks while minimizing environmental impact. Our technology leadership continues to facilitate developments in areas such as ultra-high-voltage power transmission, enabling
smart grids and enhancing eco-efficiency.
You will be a vital member of the Continuous Improvement team in the Power Grids business in Vietnam. Reporting to the Global Continuous Improvement Manager, you will establish and maintain a continuous improvement (CI) culture in ABB focusing on Customer & Quality by deploying a set of CI competencies, utilizing Lean Six Sigma (L6S) as the CI methodology, and creating transparency to monitor progress, within the area of responsibility.

*Your responsibilities
- Deploying and executing the Hub/GPG strategy to continuous improvement and strategy deployment via L6S and
facilitating best practice sharing within your locations.
- Developing talented individuals within your locations and providing access to internal customers who require specific content knowledge and/or capabilities relevant to their continuous improvement program.
- Mentoring and coaching Business CI candidates, developing pipeline of CI team members able to drive business results and working directly with key stakeholders in locations to achieve buy-in and execute strategy.
- Understand the organization’s vision, objectives and improvement needs and suggesting projects and improvement actions that support objectives and working with leaders to identify and access the best resources (internal or external).
- Ensuring budget and team resources for our customers’ continuous improvement efforts and staying there until the work can be sustained by their own operation.
- Supporting the deployment of LBU strategy through effective utilization of CI resources where needed, within the

Functional area of expertise and working effectively with other CI leaders to standardize processes and develop best practices.
- Providing organization-wide visibility of the current portfolio of continuous improvement efforts; tracking via metrics/KPIs progress and value from these efforts in order to help decision makers allocate resources and recognize success, with special focus on operational cost reduction.
- Driving cultural transformation within the scope of responsibility, with a hands-on (´Gemba´) approach and understanding and promoting behavioral change to continuously improve function performance through programs and initiatives.
- Providing training, coaching and facilitation support to individuals and teams and supporting/training in line with training and development structure for respective locations.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration with Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Over 05 years of experience in Project management and Process Management.
- Advanced knowledge of Lean and good understanding about cross-functional processes.
- Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies and ability to be an influencer.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
