Construction Manager

- Conduct Design Reviews during each phase of the design for constructability, economy, construction duration, based on executable sound construction practices, and submit comprehensive review comments in a timely manner
- Perform pre-construction, construction and post-construction inspection works including the management of site supervisors in ensuring the works are correctly implemented, inspections are properly performed & documented, works are completed correctly and in accordance with the designers’ intent, approved documents, shop drawings, materials submittals, method statements, and maintain inspection & QA/QC records of all works, and corresponding reports are timely submitted;
- Conduct and participate in ITP inspections and assure accuracy of pass or fail and proper documentation of test results. Liaise with CQC Consultant to assure complete records are timely created;
- Perform pre-construction, construction and post-construction Inspections of the Works.
- Contractors’ Work Program, anticipate potential problems and propose feasible solutions to mitigate delays, defects and non-conformances;
- Review and approve the Construction Method Statement submitted by the Contractor for accuracy, feasibility, required materials & equipment and safety in implementation prior to execution of the actual works;
- Ensure all construction works comply with Contract Documents, approved submittals such as shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and other relevant documents;
- Support Project Director / Project Manager’s efforts to ensure Contractors’ compliance with Contract Documents;
- Assures contracted Construction Documents sets are properly and timely updated by the Document & Data Controllers and only approved documents are used by the Project Team;
- Assist the Project Director and/or Project Manager to achieve the target as defined in the Project Management Plan (PMP) and in compliance to Bitexco requirements;
- Enforce the Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) Plan including the penalty system of the Project;
- Prepare Daily, Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports and other reports as required for the project and for submission to the Project Director / Project Manager;
- Review and check As-built Drawings, Inspection & QA/QC Records, Operating & Maintenance Manuals and other relevant documents. Coordinate with Contractors to facilitate and expedite the resolution of issues (if there are any) that may arise;
- Provide advice upon request of the Project Director / Project Manager regarding general construction administration;
- Other duties and tasks that are deemed necessary to effectively perform the functions and responsibilities and diligently deliver the services required for the works.

- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in either Construction Management, Architecture, Civil or Infrastructure Engineering;
- At least ten (10) years of continuous experience in Architectural, Civil, Structural and QA/QC activities for Architectural, Civil, Structural, Interiors, Landscaping or Infrastructure, Design and Construction and at least 5 years in similar role
- Must be able to read, write and speak English well. be able to work for extended hours of the night and even during Saturdays and Sundays as required by the Project
