A. Planning of New Vessel Builds utilising construction management principles including the reviewing of;

1. Fabrication standards
2. Infrastructure requirements
3. Sub-contractor requirements and management
4. Construction Plan/schedule
5. Design Process
6. Resource management
7. Procurement Support
8. Safety Management
9. Risk Management
10. Certification/Compliance
11. Painting
12. Acceptance process

B. Provide Management support and input, consistent with company and Quality Management System objectives to ensure smooth interaction between all Departments and business units, external contractors and Austal’s customers.
C. Develop process : Identify, develop and implement construction standards and processes required to ensure outputs are delivered consistently
D. Identify, develop and implement construction standards and processes required to ensure outputs are delivered consistently

QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENCES : Relevant degree, trade or maritime skill qualification preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
• Construction/Project Management roles - required, preferably in ship construction or maintenance.
• Knowledge of ship operation and management – desired.
• Knowledge of facility management – desired.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills
• Ability to understand technical documents
