The Communications Manager’s primary role will be to ensure this story is being told effectively to support the School’s Mission, Vision and Values, and specifically to:
● Prospective families considering UNIS Hanoi as their School of choice
● Outstanding faculty that we would want to recruit
● Our own multi-cultural mosaic of UNIS Hanoi families, engaging them in our School and its Vision
● Our local Hanoi community as a point of pride
● Our peer community of international schools as leaders in our field.
Our learning community gathers families from different countries, learning systems and cultural expectations around education. The Communications Manager will also help UNIS Hanoi in its efforts to ensure clarity, understanding and informed engagement are the norm for our community. He/She will support all UNIS Hanoi divisions to ensure our internal communications are cohesive, timely, purposeful and meaningful.
The Communications Manager will ensure foundations and systems are in place and are used effectively and creatively, engaging the people necessary to maximise communication potential for UNIS Hanoi and its community.
The Communications Manager will provide a cross-division service to:
● Update and implement a strategic communications plan based on the School’s Communication Commitments as the foundation for all communication activity
● Facilitate the ongoing systems review and design with an end-user imperative for ease of use and accessibility
● Ensure UNIS Hanoi has a unique and consistent voice which is appropriate and engaging for a wide range of audiences and materials with a style guide to support it.
● Actively seek stories from our community from both a ‘strategic wishlist’ and an ‘opportunistic newslist’
● Coordinate, create and edit content for all publications from the website to weekly newsletters
● Provide written content for a variety of initiatives and stakeholders including external publications and/or stakeholders
● Provide support for School Leadership with content and communications coordination including Crisis Communications
● Assist with design and development of the School’s website and intranet portals
● Collaborate for film and graphic content, working with external filmmakers, photographers and designers
● Create concept and content for social media campaigns, publications and promotional materials
● Provide support for the promotion of school events, before, during and after
● Other responsibilities as required by the School
The Communications Manager will be supported by a team including the Communications Coordinator, the Advancement Admin Officer and the Data Curator.

- Undergraduate Degree, major in communications, public relations or related fields.
- Internationally recognised PostGraduate Degree and/or Professional Qualification.

- 10+ years relevant communications experience.

- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken in English.
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with fast-changing communication practices in an international environment
