Supervisor’s Position Title: General Manager

* Objectives of the Position
To coordinate and oversee the commercial management for the design and delivery of the
Capital programmed, working collaboratively with contractors, surveyors and other project team members to ensure a consistent and quality delivery of a cost effective and customer focused service. In addition to this, to deputies for the Head of Design & Delivery as and when required, including representation at both internal and external meetings and management of the design and delivery service.

* Task and Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the commercial performance of all projects
- Develop commercial strategies and lead on contractual negotiations
- Ensure all projects are delivered in accordance with the contract
- Provide accurate cost advice and financial reporting to the client
- Deputies on all matters of a commercial and technical nature for the Head of Design,
- Delivery & Commercial as determined
- Deliver work outputs within client led targets and time frames
- Constructively challenge processes and management decisions to bring about service improvements
- Clearly articulate project needs on a scheme by scheme basis
- Pro-actively contribute to value management and value engineering studies at project and programmed level
- Maintain an awareness and observation of Fire and Health & Safety Regulations and good practice requirements throughout the company.
- Actively follow all Northwards policies including Equal Opportunities policies
- To carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by management as s duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed

* Requirements
Education:
- Degree in relevant field.

Working Experience:
- At least 3 years working experience.

Technical & Professional Knowledge:
- Broad knowledge both technical and commercial
