The role is responsible for delivering effective and efficient commercial and financial solutions for assigned division, including financial reporting and analyses, tax, internal control processes to assist the Head of Division in achieving business targets and ensuring compliance with internal and external rules and regulations.
Description
Leadership and stakeholder management
* Develop and maintain a culture of integrity, continuous improvement and high performance through daily activities with a focus on increasing process efficiency.
* Build and develop strong networks and relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Lead and deliver Finance training program for the finance as well as non-finance staff.
* Manage the team's activities in the absence of Senior Commercial Manager if required.
Management Reporting
* Ensure financial reports are accurate and available in a timely manner.
* Provide financial management to help steer business in the right direction and adapt to market changes.
* Validate data against central finance reports
Budget - Forecast
* Participate in strategic and budgetary planning processes, and support them in preparing, administering, and analysing their operating budget,
* Monitor and take corrective action as required throughout the fiscal year to ensure adherence to budget in both revenue and expenditure.
* Prepare rolling forecasts per central finance schedule
Business Administration
* Provide high quality commercial acumen on potential impacts of commercial transactions being constructed including aspects of commercial, reputation, legal, tax, compliance, health & safety etc.
* Analyse and monitor the performance of the program and course profit and loss, conduct internal analyses to identify opportunities to improve program/course cost structure.
* Provide executive support to Head of Division in implementing financial plan, in managing their financial operations and budget. Support internal operational execution and exercise business partnering responsibilities by proposing financial modelling and conducting analysis, such as break-even pricing, program costing, internal and external benchmarking and market & industry trend analysis.
* Lead and co-ordinate Pricing management issues for new and existing products.
* Conduct commercial management by liaising with the relevant functions to evaluate business, financial, tax and compliance impact of commercial transactions.
* Ensure adherence to required standards on financial performance analysis
Control and Compliance
* Identify, recommend and implement areas of improvement for both Division and Finance Department.
* Identify and monitor business risks and opportunities on a real-time basis and develop and initiate action plans to address any identified gaps
* Contribute to the development of the overall strategy of the Finance team
Profile
Successful Applicants:
* Bachelor/ Master Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience. A Professional certification (e.g. CFA, CPA…) is also desirable.
* A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in commercial field and/or financial planning and analysis in medium or large-sized multinational organization(s)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Vietnamese, including ability to develop and deliver presentations
* Strong leadership and effective stakeholder management skills in a cross-functional team in matrix environment
* Track record of producing comprehensive, high-impact financial and business analyses that can influence business strategies and decisions
* Result-oriented, self-starter and effective problem-solver that quickly grasps tasks, and operate independently with minimal supervision
* Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
* Ability to derive insights and opportunities from complex data sources, work with detail, analyse data in an organised and objective manner and determine actions based on data analytics and insights
* Ability to respond to multiple changing priorities while demonstrating sound judgment and exercising prudent decision making
* Proven capability to lead projects and teams, to work collaboratively with and effectively manage key stakeholders at all levels and functions
* Proven capability to drive and manage change in a difficult environment, with a strong "can do", customer-focused and result-oriented mindset.
