Coffee Trader - Vietnam

The Trader will be responsible for a selling, sourcing & trading operation dealing with unroasted green coffee (commodity). Although based in HCMC, frequent traveling to coffee areas is required.

Job description:
1. Manage trading (selling and sourcing) of Vietnamese unroasted green coffee. To contribute and execute trading strategy, trading plans and budget.
2. Planning and implementing the search, evaluation and on-boarding of buyer for sales of green coffee in international market. Candidate should have experience in selling coffee in international market and know coffee buyers in various markets.
3. Planning and implementing the search, evaluation, selection of best suppliers. Conducting negotiations, signing and implementing purchase and service contracts.
4. Manage, build and develop the Supplier List. Periodically update information and conduct supplier evaluation: price, quality of goods, capacity, delivery time, after-sales service, payment methods, development potential.
5. Have good understanding of local market with regards to farmers, collectors and competition with regards to their prices, stock & contracts.
6. Ensure good risk management on suppliers, buyers, contracts, forex and market exposures.
7. Deliver on Procurement and Sales targets (profitability, volume etc).

Education & Experience

1. University (degree)
2. Min 3 years in Trading in Coffee or Commodities.
3. Min 3 years’ experience of P&L, Risk management and trading in the coffee or commodity industry.
4. Proven record of independent building of business and relationships.
