We currently have an open vacancy Coastal Engineer in the Advisory Group Maritime & Aviation (M&A) Vietnam at the HCMC office.
The successful applicants will be working in a very positive and professional environment. We offer on-the-job-training by international experts, good labor conditions and the possibility for inter-company rotation, if wished also outside Vietnam.
Role Responsibilities & Activities:
Analysis and design of coastal structures
Preparing specifications and design criteria for coastal engineering works
Managing schedule and quality of the assignment within the project
Checking calculations, designs and drawings prepared by the other team members
Report writing (English and Vietnamese)
Meeting with Clients
Communicating with senior experts within the Company
Assist relevant senior engineers & leaders to achieve the highest quality of the works
Working location at Ho Chi Minh office
Reports to: Report directly to the project manager and/or technical manager
Salary: Negotiation

Yêu cầu ứng viên
Bachelor of Science degrees in Coastal Engineering
Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking), both English and Vietnamese
Excellent understanding of coastal processes (wind, waves, currents, sediment transport)
At least 5 years of experience in design of coastal structures (e.g. breakwaters, revetments, etc.)
Experience in coastal engineering design according to International design standards (CEM, Rock Manual, BS, etc.)
Experience in performing under time pressure while maintaining the required technical quality by following the company QMS
Capable of carrying out detailed checking of calculations, designs and drawings prepared by other team members
Willing to travel, sometimes for a few days at a time, as may be required to meet project requirements
Preference for candidates that meet the following additional requirements:
Master of Science degree in Coastal Engineering
Hydrodynamic modelling experience (Mike 21, SWAN)
Dynamic Mooring Analysis (DMA) experience (Termsim)
Script writing experience (VBA, macro...)
Site supervision experience (coastal structures)
At least 10 years of experience in design of coastal structures (e.g. breakwaters, revetments, etc.)
(Co-) Author of a paper(s) published in a national / international journal (coastal engineering projects)
Experience working on international projects
Experience preparing costs estimates and construction schedules for coastal engineering projects
Experience in designing maritime (port) structures (e.g. quay walls)
Experience presenting to Clients / large audiences
Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking), both English and Vietnamese
