Cluster Head (Technical) - Cashew Production

POSITION SUMMARY:

Acom Agrotrade, a commodities and supply chain merchant, is actively recruiting the role of Cluster Head (Technical) for Cashew Production to lead us into a new cashew processing phase of our business.
Acom’s Edible Nuts Division is a rapidly growing business for the company.

This role would suit a mature, hands-on, qualified engineer with at least ten years’ experience managing both fully automated and semi-automated cashew processing facilities. The suitable candidate must have a proven track record in leading production, Quality, maintenance, planning, controls, and risk management.

The role reports into the Director Technical Edible Nuts & Spice division. The role is based in Viet Nam with travel across all regions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role will have the following key responsibilities:

1. Manufacturing and factory administration – leading on production of all processing facilities to ensure maximum efficiency and adherence to quality specifications ensuring strict conformance to QMS/FSMS in production that is in keeping with regulatory standards and meets customer needs.
2. Production planning and control to ensure a smooth production to shipment process including sampling activities, waste disposal sales, uniform loading of product etc.
3. Quality: To ensure that all FG is produced in adherence to the laid down standards & specifications and dispatched is made on-time as per the sales order.
4. Risk management including production e.g. manpower calculations & requirement etc. and plan corrective actions as required
5. Safety: to put in place system and ensure implementation of those systems to prevent any safety incident at the work place.
6. Maintenance of all sites in conjunction with maintenance heads of units to ensure that all machines, equipments and other assets are maintained in good condition, in all units
7. People management: Responsible for staff engagement and management of team at all sites, as well as maintaining effective relationships with all internal stakeholders, suppliers & customers
8. Data Management: Insuring authenticity & integrity of data being captured at all units. And the same is collated and reported in required format on-time, for all factories.
9. Should take part in performance analysis of factories and improvement exercises
10. Provide leadership to execute agreed improvement points, across all factories
11. Ensure that value generation through Processing is maximized in all factories.

Qualifications and experience:
• Graduate degree (preferred) in engineering or similar mechanical/ Agri/ Production related field
• Minimum 10 years’ work experience with at least 5 year’ experience handling cashew processing facilities (both fully automatic and semi-automatic facilities)
Skill set:
• Strong leader with excellent communication and people management skill sets, who is not afraid to get their hands dirty
• Should have a sound knowledge & understanding of Cashew Processing & Quality of Cashew Raw Seed & kernel
• Should have good understanding of QMS & FSMS and various certifications in this field
• Proactive planner and solve problems
• Highly organized, systematic and able to multi-task under pressure
• strong customer focus
• In depth technical understanding of semi-automatic and automatic processing units and all related equipment
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
• Analytical with a good head for data crunching
• Excellent verbal communication and written communication including the ability to produce clear presentations and reports
• Proficient in MS Office (including MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and ideally one or more ERP systems
• Should know English as written & spoken language
