Claims Investigator

Role Purpose: This position is responsible for responding process and investigating claims to support assessor team make sound decision

Key Accountabilities
• Strong understanding of company's products/ services
• Adjudicate all minor and major claims cases
• Investigate cases by using appropriate field as computer, telephone investigative techniques or field investigation to collect appropriate information/ document timely and effectively
• Plan investigative trip with reasonable expenses and time
• Closed relationship with assessor team to understand all requirement well
• Analysis, pay and process claims within Claims authority level
• Report findings of all investigations and make recommendations to the responsible manager or other designee in a timely manner so as to facilitate prompt decision
• Update claims case daily to prepare necessary claim report for management level to observe claims trend
• Establish, develop and maintain contacts with medical centers networks/ partners to support claim and underwriting process
• Acquire and maintain current knowledge in all appropriate jurisdictions regarding changes in law to ensure operations are within proper parameters established by law
• Doing assessment and admin task if necessary
• Other duties as assigned by line manager

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (with education background in medical/ legal is a plus)

Other required Degree, Professional Qualifications and Certifications: LOMA, ALU, CII

Technical/ Professional/ Specific Competency Requirements:
• High level of integrity
• Good at communication, negotiation & organization skills
• Strong analytical, sound making decision, logic judgment
• Must be able to deal tactfully and diplomatically with the public and outside authorities
• Knowledge of Laws
• Able to work under tight deadline and pressure
• Good knowledge of MS Office and computer skills
• Willing to travel

Relevant Working Experience:
1. Minimum of two (2) years claims handling experience and demonstrated ability to recognize and handle suspicious claims activity or,
2. Two (2) years’ experience in private or law enforcement sector with experience in the use of effective investigative techniques

Required Languages: Fluent Vietnamese and good at English (speaking & writing)
