In this job, you will:
- Be responsible for performance tracking of Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM) as dictated by the RBWM Target Business Model (TBM) to ensure achievement of the Annual Plan and to position HSBC for long-term sustainable growth. It also has accountability for ensuring the Country implements the TBM in line with Group strategy and objectives.
- Drive strategic initiatives across the RBWM businesses and to monitor RBWM business performance in alignment with the RBWM TBM
- Optimize Network by analyzing and validating RBWM business performance comprising of distribution management, customer segmentation, products & services designs, and the revenue model to maximize returns and achieve RBWM sustainable growth objective /strategy
- Manage Annual Operating Plan and monitor RBWM profitability and distribution
- Oversee the development and implementation of an effective Network Incentive Plan to create a pay for performance sales and management culture
- Lead and develop an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans and reward/recognition practices
- Drive the implementation of compliance policy and regulations applicable to the business and generally assist with the resolution of compliance related issues in RBWM
- Establish an appropriate structure and put in place effective controls to ensure full adherence to Group, legal, and regulatory requirements including AML/KYC across RBWM functional areas including the branch network
- Manage operational risk related to business performance team including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control
- Maintain strong relationships with key partners , CMB, Finance, Centres of Excellence as well as RBWM Leadership at a country, Regional and Group level

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of ten years proven and progressive analytical, planning and project management experience within a marketing and project management function or equivalent , including a minimum of seven years proven management experience or equivalent.
- Risk Management experience
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, related field or equivalent experience
- Strong managerial, communications, project management, organizational, lateral thinking, strategic planning, analytical, mathematical, decision-making, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Proven track record in leading and managing change, particularly given the organization’s continually evolving nature
- Strong business acumen and ability to continually make trade -off decisions
- Ability to seek out and improve on best practice and capability
- Sound understanding of the Company’s branch network, customer segments, products offered and competitive market
