Chief Accountant

The Chief Accountant is responsible for managing and directing accounting department, ensure that departmental procedures, internal controls and financial reporting conform to company procedures, corporate policies and comply with local regulations.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of accounting department
• Establish and oversee accounting policies, procedures.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and work groups as needed.
• Maintain system of accounts and controls, providing accurate data necessary for all required accounting reports and statements.
• Supervise and check transactions in the accounting process to ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting standards and principles and company’s policies and procedures.
• Support external audit activities including quarterly review, year-end audit.
• Address compliance issues and undertakes appropriate action.
• Ensure appropriate training and development is offered to accounting staff to raise their understanding of financial accounting.
• Develop evaluate and motivate the team, conduct annual performance reviews.
• Create a high performance culture with strong team focus.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned

• University graduated, major in Finance/Accounting
• Certified public accountant (CPA or ACCA)
• Minimum 7 years of experience in finance/ accounting in a MNC (Big 4’s experience is preferred)
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
• Work well under high pressure and strict deadlines.
• Strong presentation, communication, inter-personal and reporting skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
• Good analytical thinking.
