Chief Accountant

We are a rapidly expanding team and we are searching for a Chief Accountant who will be responsible for all the financial and corporate activities of the VN company, including the recording and accounting transactions of the recently established factory in Xuan Loc – Dong Nai. You shall also consider that this position is periodically travelling to the factory to do the required review and checking of transactions and audit activities as deemed necessary.

1. Manage day to day accounting operations and accounting book monthly closing;
2. Ensure financial reporting in line with Vietnamese Accounting Standards;
3. Ensure all accounting reports are accurate with on time submission to the Finance Manager.
4. Handle accounts reconciliation;
5. Prepare statutory annual financial statements and statistics reports in line with local statutory requirements;
6. Be focal point to work with government bodies, auditors, tax authorities;
7. Prepare tax filing (license tax, VAT, WHT, CIT, PIT, etc) and reconciliation with tax office;
8. Assist in preparation of yearly budget
9. Ensure proper and complete retention of accounting, tax, corporate and legal documents per company policy and in line with local accounting/tax/legal requirements;
10. Expense reports checking and monitoring/controlling all expenditures including petty cash and sales expenditure;
11. Ensures to accurately key-in and input the accounting entries into the ERP system for proper recording and reporting.
12. Manage day to day operations of the product & manufacturing cost function from management and analysis of direct costs to monthly closing
13. In charge of employees’ payroll, tax deductions and local statutory deductions according to Vietnamese law;
14. Perform other duties as and when assigned by the Finance Manager (immediate superior)

1. Holder of a Chief Accountant certificate and speaks and write English well
2. Strong experience in a manufacturing industry, footwear is a plus
3. Experienced in ERP and good in Office, Excel and Word.
4. Professional experience of at least 7 years in accounting and finance.
5. Big 4 audit experience is a strong plus, but not required
6. With “Can do” attitude, open to changes and is happy to work in a flexible environment and working under pressure
7. Team player and willing to roll-up his/her sleeves for the new challenges and projects to lead
8. Self-starter who is able to use initiative to run projects and tasks on their own without direct supervision
9. Meet strict timelines while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
