Chemical Engineer

The job scope includes:
• Monitoring product and process performance as needed
• Assessing reliability of operations, identifying failures and causes of those failures, and recommending solutions
• Use of Six Sigma methodology to evaluate process and property data to identify and drive quality, process improvements and process-to-product transfer function development.
• Specifying, and documenting technology parameters to insure the process is capable of delivering products at the level of the quality required by the final customer.
• Providing technical leadership to improve process capability and productivity.
• Recommending and implementing improvements to production processes, methods and controls.

Routine tasks include:
• Providing technical support required to maintain day-to-day production activities
• Monitoring quality and performance for trends, initiates programs to drive improvements
• Participating on Incident Investigation and Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) Teams
• Providing engineering technical expertise to maintain production performance or restore process capability when the product or standard process is not stable, predictable or in control.
• Participating as part of a team to upgrade products and processes by implementing modifications ranging from incremental daily corrections to longer term improvement.
• Modifying control strategies, improving process safety, yields, capacity and uptime performance.
• Training personnel and building expertise in the manufacturing line organization to maintain and enhance operations.
• Serving as early response to plant technical issues and assists in trouble shooting process or equipment issues.

• University degree in Engineering with a minimum of 1 year of engineering experience
• English is a MUST; Bahasa /Vietnamese fluency a plus
• Comfortable working in a team environment; high degree of initiative and self-motivation, and flexibility to monitor and move projects forward quickly and safely.
• Strong scientific approach to solving problems; makes data based decisions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a "hands-on" attitude
