Bussiness Development Advisor

Objective of Position:
- Evaluate economics of growth opportunities in Vietnam and South East Asia
- Coordinate due diligence process for M&A opportunities
- Conduct country/regional and competitor analyses to support the growth opportunities
- Support annual WP&B, long term planning, internal governance for M&A activities (e.g. Investment Memorandum), farm-in/out negotiations
- Acquire market intelligence to support M&A activities through existing network and relationship building with international energy companies, PVN, EVN and its subsidiaries, and industry’s consultants
- Ensure compliance to corporate planning instructions and integrity of economic models

Main Functions
Direct Functions
- Coordinate overall due diligence process for M&A opportunities
- Lead commercial-economic due diligence activities
- Build economic models to evaluate economics of identified M&A opportunities (within Vietnam and/or in the region)
- Ensure integrity and compliance to RN long term planning for RNV economic models
- Support internal review and negotiations of farm in/out agreements upon request
- Conduct country and competitor analyses
- Develop / update RNV growth strategy
- Support internal governance process, required for M&A transactions
- Support other new venture assets (e.g. WP&B, long term planning, ad-hoc valuation, review/prepare OC/MC materials, etc.) upon request
- Maintain and build relationship with international energy companies, PVN, EVN and subsidiaries and industry’s consultants
- Complete tasks reasonably assigned by line manager within own competence
- Strictly comply with Rosneft’s Policy on Combatting Corruption and all relevant procedures of Rosneft Vietnam in the implementation of the Policy
- Comply with all company HSE requirements for the job and as a minimum with all HSE requirements including golden safety rules

Joint Functions
- Coordinate due diligence, governance and planning activities with other functional support teams within RNV
- Support other asset managers within the BU, Moscow curators and M&A team upon request
- Coach new team member (if any)

- International and National Oil and Gas and power Companies

Regulation of Activities
(International, state and corporate regulations, standards, terms of reference, instructions and rules that must be followed when performing the work)
- Corporate regulations: HSSE, Integrity Management, Employees, Business Travel, President’s Orders and Corporate Resolutions etc.
- Vietnamese and regional Petroleum Laws, PSCs, JOAs, GSAs, GGUs, other commercial agreements related to O&G and power….

Education:
Level and area of education necessary to perform properly in this position
Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Accounting and/or Corporate Finance, or Engineering disciplines

Knowledge / Skills:
Special and / or specific knowledge and skills that may be required to perform successfully in this position
- Economic evaluation skills: proven experience in economic evaluation for oil and gas projects in Vietnam or in the region
- Contractual understanding: deep understanding and involvement in negotiations or managing PSC, JOA, GSA, GGU, and other commercial agreements for oil and gas and power assets in Vietnam or in the region.
- Good knowledge in local (and regional) regulations and international practice applied in the oil and gas industry
- Relationship: Have established strong relationship with PVN, EVN and its subsidiaries, good network with international O&G and energy companies and industry’s consultants
- Influencing skills: able to constructively influence others to get jobs done
- Performance management: Able to create plans, organize activity set and deliver them to support business objectives
- Internal control: Understand the importance of internal control and take action to maintain its effectiveness through compliance with the requirements via application of controls and due diligence processes across all activities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to commence assigned tasks without further training
- Ability to work under pressure, short-advance notice, tight deadline and uncertainty
- Flexibility to work overtime if required

Language Skills:
Language and degree of competence
Fluency in English

Work Experience:
- Experience that is genuinely required to perform at the above functions at the necessary level 10 year experience in Oil and Gas sector, with at least 5- year experience in economic modelling for oil and gas assets in Vietnam or in the region.

Computer Skills:
- Knowledge of software (standard and/or specialized) necessary to perform the work
Excel and Power Point proficiency
