Business Solutions Manager

This role is to provide technical support for developing effective operating solutions to potential projects, internal operations typically for warehousing & inland business as warehouse design, transport design, and/or supply chain design/re-design. This role is also to assist logistics projects with Technical/Engineering expertise as well as proposing costing solutions to customer requests.

Key responsibilities
The main areas of responsibility for the appointed Business Solutions Manager will be the following:
- Provides technical design support for logistics solutions, including data gathering and analysis, warehouse layout design, process design, costing of the solutions.
- Analysis and interpretation of warehouse and transportation-related data, calculations for warehouse and/or transportation solutions, checking assumptions with the actual situation.
- Uses optimization modelling and process (re-)design to deliver optimum logistics solution, resource level and costs.
- Develops a strong understanding of financial models, contract budget models and contract budget development.
- Cooperates with Country Delivery Heads in VCML area to assess operational performance, opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Liaises with Sales, Product, other functions, departments at area/regional/global level to support commercial tenders.
- Develops reporting dashboards to measure, track the progress of business performance in the Delivery community.
- Leads the implementation of WND & VAS project to achieve the on-time accomplishment of the projects, budget alignment and satisfactory customer expectation.
- Ensures the smooth handover of successful proposals to WND/Operations.
- Assists Area Delivery with specific tasks as required to achieve overall functional goals effectively.
- Conducts necessary training for related stakeholders.
- Comply with Code of Conduct, HSSE policies and guidelines.

We are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, preferred a master’s degree.
- 2-4 years of relevant working experience in Warehousing, Logistics industry, Supply Chain.
- Solutions-oriented, strong analytical skills, detail-oriented with the ability to perform data analytics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills & the ability to connect with different stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of warehouse management systems, MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint, MS Access.
- Operational experience with the predictable approach of the business from short, medium to long term vision oriented to be able to foresee opportunities and risks associated with the business.
