Business Development/partnership Manager (Fintech)

Hiring position
This role requires deep industry knowledge, senior relationship building skills and a solutions-based, consultative-selling approach to develop and lead FinOS credit scoring and digital risk partnership initiatives. As a Business Development Manager, you will be involved with both high level negotiations and hands-on customer journey solutioning, prototyping, ideating and showcasing of demos and other related activities. You will need to have a deep appreciation for data-driven solution partnerships and fintech ecosystem and be able to explain the difference between a rule-based decision tree and a machine learning decision tree. Key Responsibilities
You will work closely with the FinOS management team to identify and develop strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with companies:
• Identify and develop long-term partnerships with potential companies that are strategically well-positioned to accelerate FinOS credit scoring and digital risk products’ growth
• Collaborate across FinOS teams to build and maintain a pipeline of relationships with potential partners, taking responsibility for the relationship throughout all stages.
• Close partnership agreements while balancing goals, speed, and economic potential.
• Evaluate financial and non-financial benefits and risks of new partnerships.
• Take primary responsibility for the execution and integration of new partnerships.
• Track, report, and optimize performance of partnerships, including identifying issues as they arise, assessing possible solutions, and executing those solutions.
• Collaborate with regional and local team members to make exceptional partnership collateral.

Required competencies and skills
• Strong partnership experience: You have a wide network of contact in Vietnam Finance/Tech industries and experience in handling partnerships from sourcing to introduction meeting to integration/roll out; You understand the importance of and practices effective following up with partners
• Effective and strong communication skills: You are able to distill complex models into easy to understand terms; Customize and explain product journeys to each partner on both powerpoint and face to face meetings (in both English and Vietnamese); You are fearless, adaptive and understands the importance of following up
• Data-driven: Have a keen interest in data-driven solutions and always on a look out for win-win collaborations
• Highly committed with hands-on experience: You are a go-getter who can work independently and as a team
• Cross-region experience: We operate both in Hanoi and HCMC, so the candidate will be required to travel a lot across cities.

Relevant Work Experience
• We are looking for a rockstar BD who talks both financial and technology lingo; Background in partnership roles in banks / CFCs, and/or technology firms (e.g. e-commerce, e-wallets) is a must.
• More than 3 years of experience with data-related products.
• Exposure in solving optimization problems is preferred.
