POSITION OVERVIEW
This exciting, newly created role will lead the business development and member engagement of VBCWE across the private sector in Vietnam. The position has been established to build a stronger relationship with private sector companies to progress the conversation and action around WGE. The role will further strengthen the Coalition’s business and strategic planning, identifying market opportunities and developing WGE services and supports for businesses to build more inclusive and equal workplaces.
This BD Manager shall be working under the overall supervision of the Executive Director and together with the Technical Team of HR Manager, HR Specialist, MEL Specialist and Communications Specialist for the overall development, technical advices and support service provision of workplace gender equality of the coalition. The BD Manager will also cooperate with a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist, Monitoring and Evaluation team, Research Specialist and also with Gender Equality Training and Development Manager from Investing and Women Program for service and advisory provision of the business coalition.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES, DUTIES AND TASKS
The role of the Business Development Manager will be as follows:
Technical Advisory
1. Develop business development strategy for the coalition
2. Support to develop marketing and communication strategies for the coalition
3. Review existing VBCWE services and provide advice on identifying market gaps and opportunities to strengthen business
4. Regularly and proactively engage members on their support expectations and requirements to ensure the alignment of the Coalition’s service packages
5. Meet with industry groups, associations and businesses to advocate for WGE and share the business rationale
6. Develop strategic partnerships for promotion and initiation of WGE in commercial sector
7. Actively promote the VBCWE mandate and mission on WGE
8. Have a strong understanding of Vietnam’s economic context, WGE and inclusive practices, business perceptions of quality and opportunities for market , the areas can grow with WGE initiations
9. Provide professional advice and facilitation of WGE, Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) initiations in workplace and identify the benefits for business with case studies
10. Work closely with MEL Specialist, HR Manager and HR Specialist of Technical Team and develop professional, tailored advisory services for the needs of the orgnisational growth of the businesss
11. Work with Head of Marketing and Communications to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with VBCWE’s goals and objectives
12. Work closely with and support other team members in production and launch of WGE reports, case studies and MEL research
13. Develop and document insights into the practices and lessons learned on WGE landscape within the Vietnam commercial sector.
Training
14. Lead, develop, prepare and roll out business soft skill training and capacity building for VBCWE member and non-member comapnies
15. Assist with organizing and promoting learning and knowledge events in coordination with other key partners and stakeholders
Others
16. Identify potential funding opportunities as well as partnership for the association
17. Prepare and develop the grant proposal or expressions of interests (EOI) for the projects
18. Managing, reviewing and ensuring the desired programme outcomes and objectives are delivered
19. Others tasks assigned by Executive Director

Education: Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, management, organisational strategy or other equivalent degree.
Work Experience
* At least five years’ experience in business development, sales and marketing management, advisory service provision in commercial sector in the country.
* Experience in training.
* Experience in project reporting.
* Experience in proposal writing.
