Who’s who in the zoo?
Reporting directly to the Country Director, as the BD Director, you will shape the future of our products and GoBear Vietnam. You’ll take part in the complete experience as you’ll lead every facet of GoBear’s journey from determining positioning, competitive analysis, feature prioritization, pricing and external communications to insurers, bank partners and intermediaries.
This means you’ll work with a cross-functional team across marketing, communications, legal, product development, engineering and more. Our approach is to embrace the strength of our products and pace of innovation to improve the overall customer experience and give our partners a place to add their products. The ideal candidate has prior experience in banking and general and life insurance business development, product pricing, policy wording, and is willing to work in a dynamic start-up.
What kind of fun will you get up to at GoBear?
• You’ll take lead on on-boarding and contracting new partners/ suppliers in the insurance, banking and intermediary space
• You’ll maintain existing relationships and deepen engagement with existing partners
• You’ll expertly revenue KPIs for GoBear Vietnam
• You’ll be the key business owner to understand and give input for user stories
• You’ll part-take in product research and comparisons (general and life insurance, loans, cards, and other financial products)
• You’ll seamlessly align with the front-end and engineering teams to approve the product and pricing connections
• You’ll be informed on the latest market developments regarding finance and insurance across the region
• You’ll work hands-on and share knowledge between team members
• You’ll complete ad-hoc projects and tasks as required

Got skills? This startup requires an assertive, no-nonsense and hands-on BD Director. We would be looking for the following qualifications and skills:
· You have earned a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, marketing, business management or another related field of study
· You have par excellence oral and written communication in English & Vietnamese
· You bring in 10+ years sales expertise in at least 5 years in one or more of the following areas: insurance, banking, product development, and pricing
· You bring in an exceptional background as a senior sales Executive with top sales experiences and over performing sales targets
· You have extensive knowledge of local finance, insurance business, and products
· You bring in awesome online/digital experience
· You have a reliable and relevant local network within the Insurance and Banking Industry
· You have excellent project management skills
· You have substantial experience operating within cross-functional international teams (product management, implementation, legal, finance, marketing, etc.)
