Purpose of the job:

+ To secure business objectives according to relevant IKEA strategic documents and Category Business Plan.
+ Establish and develop high performing service providers' (SP) base meeting the needs of business and our customers today and in the future.
+ Aim for the wished position of being the preferred business partner for existing and new IKEA SPs.
+ Contribute to optimization of the value chain that creates better products and services at lower total costs to reach more of the many customers

Main responsibilities:

· Relationship and performance: Overall responsible for business with a defined number of service providers (SP) and a defined biz scope. Develops effective relationships with SPs to secure their performance in all respects (as per defined goals and KPIs), through IKEA Way of doing business, based on shared business model and values, trust and transparency.

· Continuous development of business & SPs: Professionally challenges and supports SPs to constantly improve all aspects of their performance and capabilities, based on current and future needs. Cooperates with SPs to continuously increase their overall competitiveness through new biz opportunities, such as better networks, alternative drive-trains, better equipment, intermodality, etc. - irrespective of Area borders.

· SP portfolio: Identifies and proposes new carriers based on long-term business needs. Participates in identification of "prioritized" (note: definition to come). SPs and leads, based on Carrier Development Plan, their development towards partnership for growth.

· Commercial agenda & cost/price development: Identifies and acts on commercial opportunities, actively takes part in tenders and other biz activities according to relevant working method. Acts on opportunities & creates preconditions for SPs' production cost-down and secures respective price impact.

· Market intelligence: Maintains extensive knowledge of relevant transport market conditions. Attends relevant external forums to keep up-to-date with industry trends, incl. innovative approaches. Is aware of economical influences (resulting to e.g. network/flow changes, etc.). Follows the development of legal/regulatory framework. Actively shares this information internally and acts upon challenges and opportunities.

· Action plan & Projects: Develops and implements yearly Action Plan with carriers and other functions to secure fulfilment of respective biz objectives. Leads or supports sourcing-related projects, if applicable.

· Compliance: Establishes and secures fulfilment of Frame Agreement and Sub-agreements. Together with other relevant functions performs Carrier Business Review. Responsible to secure SPs' IWAY compliance and compliance to Supply Chain Security requirements.

· IKEA Ambassador: Acts as IKEA ambassador towards external parties, and performs business responsibilities based on value- and fact-based business approach.

Qualifications

· University degree in logistics, economics, business administration or successful track record from similar position

· Good knowledge of IKEA strategic landscape, Biz model, Code of Conduct, Biz Ethics, Biz year cycle, governance structure, IKEA culture and values

· Deep knowledge of transport industry, market specific conditions and macroeconomic trends; as well as of production costs and how to influence them.

· Good knowledge of functions in IKEA Supply Chain and how they interact

· Understanding of how your everyday work adds customer's value by delivering to Democratic Design

· Knowledge and experience of interacting with external partners; incl. SP management

· Negotiation skills

· Good finance knowledge

· Good presentation & communication skills in written & verbal

· Legal knowledge related to transport agreements and operational conditions

· Good knowledge in building & evaluating fact-based biz cases

· Project management skills

· Fluency in English
