POSITION PURPOSE:

To lead BET clients, guides and local people through processes towards agreed-upon objectives in a manner that encourages participation, ownership and creativity by all those involved.
To provide administrative and supervisory support to enable a high functioning, motivated BET team to create, manage sustainable, community-based / educational tourism products in Vietnam that achieve win-win-win.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Customer Service:
• Provide timely and accurate information and excellent support to external customers (clients) as well as internal customers (BT operating offices, tour leaders, guides, drivers and local people)
• Resolve customer’s issues to customer’s satisfaction with appropriate corrective and preventive measures
• Communicate timely and accurate information on Buffalo Educational Travel Asia (BET) projects (brief/work breakdown structure/evaluation) to enhance overall internal / external customer satisfaction

Facilitation:
• Accompany BET groups as required to develop and maintain superior working relationship with external customer leaders (teachers, supervisors, etc)
• Plan, conduct and assess educational activities that allow external customers achieve learning objectives (debrief, reflection, leadership, team work, simulation games, research, exploration).
• Plan, conduct and assess community-based activities that allow external customers to integrate with the host community / organization (song & dance night, cultural activities, discussions, Q&A, games).

BET Project Management:
• Be knowledgeable on Buffalo Educational Travel Asia (BET) projects and activities in accordance with BET Project Criteria and Project Cycle
• Develop and maintain superior working relationship with partner commu-nities, local agencies and authorities to facilitate BET project develop-ment and management

Self-management & staff management:
• Suggest new or improved policies and processes to improve efficiency
• Submit tour-end-report to BET Operations for each group when finish the tour

Local NGO & Community Networks:
• Represent Buffalo Tours BET Team as key point-of-contact for local NGO & Community-based stakeholders (host communities, national tour-ism authorities, district authorities, etc.)
• Conduct local NGO & Community-based meetings and discussions (tourism activity planning and development)
• Accompany and facilitate BET groups as required to maintain high de-gree of product knowledge and assess future opportunities

Benefit:
- Daily payment is VND1.500.000/day and when this person with the group, we will cover the expense for accommodation, meals and joining transportation as the group.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

Knowledge:

• University under graduate degree (tourism, society or business related major preferred)
• Fluent in English
• Understand about the project region
• Travel industry experience (2+ years preferred)
• Having experience working with the school groups is preferred

• Good facilitation skills
• Good cross-cultural communication skills
• Good organizational and project management skills
• Good problem-solving skills
