POSITION PURPOSE:

To provide sales and marketing support to enable a high functioning, motivated BET team to create, sell and operate experiential education and community-based tourism products in all Buffalo destination countries.

To achieve 'Changing Lives Through Travel' the BET Executive Sales will

1) present Buffalo Tours BET brand and sales strategy accurately and efficiently
2) ensure all bookings confirmed with customers and suppliers accurately and efficiently
3) be knowledgeable on BET projects, products, unique selling points (project management, facilitation, community networks) and main purposes (win-win-win, transparency, inspiration).


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Sales :
• Respond to new business opportunities and enquiries in an accurate, appropriate and timely manner
• Ensure BRS booking is properly set up for a confirmed group before handing over to BET Operations team.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoices to overseas agents and clients upon group confirmation.

Customer Service:
• Provide timely and accurate information and excellent support to external customers (agents, suppliers and clients) as well as internal customers (BT offshore sales offices, operating offices and colleagues)
• Resolve customer service issues to customer’s satisfaction with appropriate corrective and preventive measures
• Communicate timely and accurate information on BET programmes to enhance overall internal / external customer satisfaction

Follow up policies & ISO procedures:
• Service all internal and external inquiries professionally and efficiently within 24 hours or according to business needs
• Follow approved policies and procedures
• Utilise preferred supplier product and services to improve cost advantage

Cost management:
• Suggest and recommend initiatives with objective of reduce Cost of Goods Sold and improve trip profitability

Self-management & staff management:
• Suggest new or improved policies and processes to improve efficiency

Marketing:
• Assist the BET Sales Team Leader to provide accurate and timely marketing information for print and electronic media
• Assist the BET Sales Team Leader to prepare and conduct agent familiarisation trips to BET projects and products
• Assist the BET Sales Team Leader to collect program publicity materials such as keeping accurate photo records of activities and projects

Product Development:
• Assist the BET Sales Team Leader research, identify and develop products/relationships suitable to specific BET markets and opportunities
• Assist the BET Sales Team Leader convey to external customers (agents, suppliers and clients) on new products

BET Projects:
• Be knowledgeable on BET projects, local NGO and Community activities
• Accompany and facilitate BET groups as required to maintain high degree of product knowledge and assess future opportunities

Knowledge
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Travel industry experience
• Understand about the sales region

Skills
• Sales skills
• Good cross-cultural communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Travel and outdoor activity safety knowledge and skills
• Computer skills including fluency in Microsoft Office


Attitude
• Passion for Buffalo's purpose of 'Changing Lives Through Travel'
• Able to work under pressure, juggle multiple tasks and outside office hours when required
• Able to work independently and with a team
• High attention to detail
