Brand and Product Ambassador

Midwich Asia and Blonde Robot Asia (part of the Midwich Group of companies http://www.midwichgroupplc.com/) are distributors of professional audio visual and video products with headquarters in Sydney, Australia. The combined business groups distribute throughout 17 countries in South East Asia and represent vendors in Audio Visual, Broadcast Production and Post-Production markets, we have offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Singapore, Auckland and Kuala Lumpur, and are experiencing strong growth.

An opportunity has arisen for a Brand and Product Ambassador to join our team based in Vietnam to establish our first local presence in the country. The role is specifically focusing on our AV and Broadcast vendors including: AJA Video Systems, Atlona, BrightSign, CatDV, Exterity, Facilis Technology, Mersive, NewTek, Promise Technology, Smart Technologies, StorageDNA, and more.

As the Brand and Product Ambassador, you will be tasked with maintaining and growing our reseller list by promoting our brands, whilst developing strong relationships with customers to help further promote Midwich and Blonde Robot vendors through focused pre and post-sales support and marketing actions in Vietnam. The role will report to our Territory Manger based in Kuala Lumpur.

Key to the success of the position will be increasing demand for our existing products as well as identifying new brands to represent.
A hands-on role, there will be regular calls and visits to all key resellers and their customers, along with hosting industry events around new product releases and vendor signings.
Maintaining a strong technical and commercial understanding of the products, market perception, price expectation and competitive products is essential.
Key duties will include, but not limited to:

• Communicating with end users to identify new market opportunities and assisting resellers to provide the best solution
• Product Management of key brand/s including implementing and executing marketing pre and post-sales strategies
• Assisting with technical pre and post-sales and support
• Liaising with suppliers on pricing, new products and opportunities
• Introducing new products/brands and technologies to dealers and end users with clear go to market strategies
• Liaising with key reseller’s and vendors sales staff and end users to ensure dealers are trained on new features or products
• Working with vendors, dealers and the team to host end user events such as trade shows, product launches and promotions

Significant domestic travel will be required within Vietnam, and international travel will be required for events and trade shows.

Remuneration for the position includes base wage, phone, laptop and bonus structure.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in the broadcast or AV industry, preferably in a technical sales, customer facing role with strong communication skills in both Vietnamese and English.
