Bid Specialist

Description and Responsibilities

HQTS is looking for a Bid Specialist for managing complex bids through the full bid lifecycle. This person will work as part of a global team of subject matter experts to identify, coordinate, write and submit proposals as required for the Government Inspection and Trade Service business line of HQTS.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collect, sort out and screen bidding information.
• Proven track record of business development in the service sector, and experienced in the preparation of bids and tenders.
• Strong knowledge of public procurement.
• Bid pipeline tracking including success/failure, client feedback to support ongoing improvement.
• Document, content control and development of the business tender library.
• Assist with finalization and submission of the technical and financial proposal.
• Schedule and attend meetings/workshops, capture and distribute actions/decisions as required.
• Maintain knowledge of competitors, policy, strategy, government initiatives etc.
• Experience of using own initiative and taking personal responsibility for decisions taken.
• Be responsible for relationship management.

Skills and Requirements
• Strong background in managing complex bids, ideally with working experience in TIC field.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to prepare and deliver presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
• High level of ability with Excel and other Microsoft packages
• Ability to define and apply processes in a commercial and contractual sense
• Comprehensive commercial understanding
• A strong command of the English language both written and verbal
