Asia Operations Manager (Furniture) – Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

• Implementing Company’s Supply Chain plan working closely with factories to maintain on-time production and shipping schedules
• Coordinating activity with U.S. based Purchasing Manager
• Communicating with Product Development team
• Provide company management with information about factory changes that effect production and schedules on a regular basis
• Solving operational challenges that occur
• Report on local market trends
• Research potential new factories
• Accomplish other tasks as assigned
• Meet with customers as needed
• Other details will be discussed during interview

Requirements
• Furniture finish knowledge: stylistic & trend knowledge as well as technical knowledge
• Knowledgeable about South East Asian factories
• Understand American Furniture Market: Develop, Style, Trends, Sizes and Preferences
• Project management experience, ideally in an organization with cross-functional teams
• Mechanical and technical aptitude
• Self-starter
• Demonstrated ability to think analytically and critically
• Proven ability to manage timelines

Qualifications
• BA/BS in related field preferred
• 5+ years’ experience managing 4 or more direct reports, some of whom supervise others
• 4 – 6 years’ experience in manufacturing, scheduling in furniture or case goods
• Understanding of operations principles such as JIT, ERP, MRP, TQC, CRP preferred
• Fluent in English
• Proficient with computers and business software
• Ability to travel frequently throughout Asia and occasionally to the U.S.
