AR Accountant

Cai Mep International Terminal is hiring an Accounts Receivable Accountant who will be responsible for invoicing and collection.
The position will report to the AR Supervisor in the Finance Department and work closely with the deputy CFO. It is based at the terminal located in Tan Thanh district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province (Cai Mep). The main tasks to be handled are:

-Verify accuracy and completeness of the pre-billing information received from the operational department.
-Find ways to further automate the billing
-Issue invoices daily and issue monthly statements of account to the customers.
-Review ageing receivables and pursue customers for collection.
-Communicate with customers regarding invoicing and collection queries and issues.
-Ledger posting of the finalized invoices.
-Compile financial statistics for reporting and analysis purposes.
-Prepare month-end closing of A/R and assist in financial audits and reviews.
-Maintain customer files on paper and in electronic format.
-Other ad hoc tasks and duties as required.
-Likes to analyse our processes and revenue and continuously looks for way to improve.
-Work/Coordinate with other departments to optimize and improve the billing process

Qualified candidates who are affirmative in communication, well organized, results orientated, have eyes for details and able to work well under pressure.

The ideal candidates have:

-A college or university degree in business, accounting, corporate finance or related discipline
3-10 years of relevant experience
-Basic knowledge of accounting processes
-Good understanding of revenue, controlling and banking processes.
-Ability to communicate effectively with other departments as well as to senior managers in the company.
-Proficiency with numeric data entry, keyboarding and email systems.
-Proficiency in various software applications and programs (MS Excel) – likes working with IT processes and automation.
-Customer oriented, good communication and negotiation skills.
-Detail oriented - consistently check processes and tasks for accuracy and completeness.
-Good English language skills, spoken and written, are required.
