Ensuring that our alumni and our students (as future alumni) find their place in our global community through the delivery of meaningful and powerful programmes to achieve their personal goals and fulfil the School’s Vision is at the heart of all that we do in our Alumni Programme.
Join UNIS Hanoi’s Advancement Team to take our Alumni Programme to the next level as our Alumni Programme Coordinator.

In general the responsibility of the Alumni Programme Coordinator is to support the Advancement Director and team in delivering the goals of the UNIS Advancement Programme, with special reference to “Connecting UNIS Hanoi meaningfully with its worldwide Alumni.”

The successful candidate will coordinate the execution of a strategic and comprehensive Alumni Programme, for the benefit of advancing the School’s Mission, Vision and Values for all members of our alumni community and with a strong focus on supporting and extending programmes with and for alumni and current students. The Alumni Programme Coordinator will be responsible for:

Alumni Relationships and Communications, including:
- Establish and coordinate an alumni association of active volunteers committed to developing and extending alumni programming
- Find and promote stories from our alumni to demonstrate our Mission in action in the world
- Build meaningful, strategic relationships with alumni to champion connectivity aligned to the School’s goals
- Responsibility for online Alumni presence, for both content and functionality (website, directory etc)
- Responsible for effective Alumni communications, publications and strategies including social media sites for alumni engagement
- Organise an engaging programme of alumni events including reunions and recruit Alumni Volunteers to create a global team for activities including Alumni Reps.
- Initiate and build connections with Vietnamese alumni and alumni parents both local and global
- Implement and maintain an online Yearbook facility for alumni
- First point of contact for all alumni inquiries
- Manage alumni contact outreach initiatives for ‘lost alumni’
- Build the programme for ‘new’ alumni including the alumni transition programme for UNIS students D-12 and to ensure high retention of family connectivity

Alumni Programme development, including:
- Alumni Global Ambassadors to support Enrolment initiatives (Alumni Families)
- Alumni Faculty and Staff as an active global resource for HR recruitment initiatives
UNIS Hanoi Global as a tool for mentoring, work experience, internships and career networking supporting events and initiating activities with a special focus on our Global Graduates.
- Manage a meaningful mentoring and internship programme for alumni and current community
- Alumni Service to promote and facilitate continued service opportunities including volunteer opportunities at UNIS Hanoi
- Identify alumni with philanthropic interest in supporting the School and in partnership with the Philanthropy Manager broaden reach of fundraising initiatives with alumni
- Alumni On Campus - Welcoming visiting alumni and managing alumni campus access programmes including Energize.
- Pro-actively pursue ways in which to involve alumni as resources for current students
- Advocate for alumni in school planning and future direction.

Required Core Competencies:
Education/Qualification
- Undergraduate Degree, major in communications or related fields.
Experience
- 5+ years relevant communications and events experience
- 5+ years relevant experience in developing engagement programmes for membership organisations and/or volunteer management experience.
Technical Knowledge
- Outstanding personal skills and strategic relationship building skills
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken in both Vietnamese and English.
- Demonstrated skills in project management and events delivery in an international environment.
- Demonstrated skills in volunteer management and virtual social programmes.
- Multicultural communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent proficiency in various software applications such as Google suite, Microsoft Office and related software systems.
- Demonstrate understanding, ideas and relevant experience in order to deliver all elements of the job description above
