THE ROLE
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for all admissions processes from the point of first receiving applications through to enrolment and has responsibility for key selection and credit transfer activities for programs offered at RMIT Vietnam. Admissions Coordinators have a sound understanding of University entry requirements and work closely with local recruitment and enrolment staff, as well as credit and other relevant staff in Melbourne, to ensure a seamless admissions experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess student study submission applications for RMIT Vietnam with fair judgment and ensure that timelines and agreed KPIs are met; deliver high quality services to prospective students and agents and facilitate all stages of applications in a timely manner;
Assess credit exemption requests for prospective, new and current students, through managing internal credit on behalf of Schools. Process “Recognition of Internal Credit” using credit precedent databases to apply external credit, and coordinate with programs for assessment of new credit applications not covered under the existing precedent. Work with stakeholders to finalise missing credit for completion purposes.
Maintain knowledge of entrance and credit standards by staying current with the RMIT equivalency tables, utilising the NOOSR (CEP), NARIC, and other external databases to assess equivalency, and reviewing program entry requirements on a regular basis. Provide analysis and recommendations to programs for cases requiring academic judgement.
Maintain frequent communication with Student Recruitment team to provide updates on application processing and related issues. Liaise with Student Recruitment team to understand expectations and entry requirements and to identify and communicate alternative pathways for students which may not meet standard program entry requirements.
Collaborate with Student Recruitment team through participation in special activities, open days and recruitment trips, including providing on-the-spot assessment and offers.
Collaborate and liaise with Enrolments & Records, Student Billing, Finance, Student Mobility, International Marketing and Admissions, Schools and other stakeholders on a variety of issues, including confirming program fees for inclusion in offers, program intakes and deposit payments, and activating students for enrolment.
Identify gaps and propose improvements for relevant systems and processes across locations. Engage with other RMIT campuses to share information and seek alignment in admissions. Support activities designed to integrate admissions and selection systems and activities across global RMIT as appropriate.
Provide input into the review and publication of relevant process and policy documentation, including providing feedback on University admissions, selection and credit policies, procedures and instructions.
Support the RMIT scholarship process through the provision of selection expertise and processing of applications to assess compliance with academic and English entry requirements.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Bachelor degree in education, business administration or related field.
At least three years of experience in an admissions or a similar administrative position.
Proven ability to show strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing information, written communications and budgets.
Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret a wide range of information, solve problems and provide advice on the development of effective solutions.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize competing demands and undertake and manage multiple tasks, and capacity to resolve work issues with limited assistance
Demonstrated capacity in business process improvement, information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including public presentation skills and the ability to produce a high level of written documentation and business correspondence.
Ability to recognise customer needs and appropriate service expectations and deliverables.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS

RMIT Vietnam will require you to complete a BULATS test to assess your level of English before an offer of employment can be made.
