- Summary: The work schedule for this position is: Full Time 40 hours per week
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time 90 days of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
- Travel Required:Due to ongoing program delivery and monitoring responsibilities, incumbent of this position will be expected to travel on a regular basis to program locations outside of Hanoi (20%).
* DUTIES
Incumbent of this position will provide administrative and other office management support to the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL Hanoi) section. The section will receive and generate an increasingly higher number of documents, including procurement and travel forms, as well as documents related to the travel of INL personnel. The incumbent will be under the direct supervision of the INL Director and Deputy Political Counselor.

* EXPERIENCE: At least two years of administrative/secretarial experience is required.
* JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have/be able to:
- Good working knowledge of computer programs and systems.
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of organizational management systems, instructions, procedures, correspondence, regulations, and directives knowledge from previous work experience.
* Education Requirements: A University or College studies is required.
* Evaluations:
- LANGUAGE:
+ Level 3 (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. (This will be tested.)
+ Level 3 (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese is required.
* SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have/be able to:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to the existing work environment.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.

A “certification” is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant. The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service. Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
** This level of preference applies to all Foreign Service employees on LWOP and CS with re-employment rights back to their agency or bureau.
