Accouting Specialist

ABB Power Grids offers power and automation products, systems and service solutions across the generation, transmission and distribution value chain - enabling a stronger, smarter and greener power grid.

You will be a vital member of the finance team within the Business Function Finance Business Line (BL)/ Power Grids (PG) Business, in Vietnam /South East Asia Region. Reporting to the GBS Finance Lead, you will ensure completeness of timely and accurate of the accounting activities performed in compliance with internal guidelines and procedures and external regulatory requirements.

• Verifying the expense reports submitted by employee to ensure it complies with all internal policy and procedure such as: Travel business policy, marketing policy, expense report policy, Entertainment policy, Gift policy etc.
• Applying deep knowledge about tax regulation and accounting to determine which expense is deductible expense, which expense is deductible VAT.
• Determining necessary documents for each type of expense under tax and accounting regulations and understanding nature of expense to check the GL accounts are booked correctly.
• Advising for employees in case they need support about the invoice, document, policy and system.
• Communicating effectively with employees, India GBS GTS and service suppliers to verify/ cross checking information if need.
• Managing employee balance, perform clearing payable amount with cash advance/ company credit card amount. Proposing salary deduction as internal policy for overdue.
• Determining and book WHT for which expense has WHT obligation and declaring VAT input for expense report monthly.
• Strong understanding about the system ERP and other applications which interface with ERP i.e. Traveldoo.
• Applying ABB Group Accounting standards, compliance to ABB’s Accounting and Reporting Guidelines, and local GAAP and compliance with ABB Group Charter.
• Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, participate in integrity related investigations and enforcement where necessary or required, take responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting field with good system knowledge.
• Good knowledge of accounting and tax regulations.
• Fluency in English language.
• Dedication and commitment to work.
• Good numeric skills and attention to details.
