Reporting to the Finance Manager, the position holder’s main responsibilities are:
Work with the Finance Manager to ensure the following tasks are executed in a timely and efficient manner:
• Process accounting transactions in the system and maintains accounting records as per local and group requirements
• Set up master data and procedures in accounting system for finance and accounting operations
• Review the company financial accounts to ensure compliance with Chevron and Vietnamese Accounting Standards
• Generates the Vietnamese Accounting Standard General Ledger Report for annual Tax Audit
• Work with External Auditors and Tax Authorities on the company annual reports
• Provide guidance and technical support for the staffs in the section and other functions
• Handle the analysis and booking of inventory costing in SAP, CIRCA and all relevant entries to ensure that the current month’s inventory product costs are captured and recorded in the books accurately and on a timely basis
• Process Accounts Payable transactions including vendors and supplier’s invoices. Ensure that the invoices are appropriately approved and with complete supporting document.
• Assist in preparing Finance Business Plans for Vietnam
Supervision
Act as Team Lead and provide direction to the Accounts Payable, Tax, and Costing Team aligning with the Finance Manager’s goal. Set metrics to measure effectiveness of business process and expected results.

• Manage team performance, skill development, and build team competencies.
• Support the Business Units as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and equitably Supervise team on General Accounting, Fixed Assets Accounting, Sales transactions, Inventory, Tax Accounting, Accounts Payable and Financial Close including reporting - maintenance of Accounts in SAP, General Ledger accruals, reevaluations, GAAP adjustments and management reports.
• Lead team to deliver the Month-end Close within the timeline
• Drive for business process improvement and recommend resource allocation to optimize team work’s performance
Analytics/ Decision Support/ Report
• Monthly analysis & review of financial performance prior to submission of P&L and Balance Sheet data
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting significant and unique items. Proactively in the identification of errors in reporting and the timely resolution of accounting issues.
• Responsible for the data integrity and validation of data and variance analysis at entity level and on a segmented basis. Ensure that corrective action is taken within month end close to provide correctly segmented financial results.
• Consolidate and provides supplementary financial information as requested for corporate reporting and provide monthly earnings forecast submission.
• Plan and coordinates external and internal financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis, and ensures reporting requirements are met including Vietnam Government
• Close coordination with BUs to analyze and explain variation in performance compared to the plan & prior periods with emphasis on quality of explanations including specific business drivers, KPIs etc
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP/GCA reporting standards
Deployment of Corporate Accounting Policies / SAP
• Support changes or implementation in both corporate accounting policies and statutory accounting principles.
• Coordinate with other staff to implement new accounting practices/ revise current accounting practices.
• Work through complicated accounting issues, provides accounting advice and decision support to Business units
• Utilize thorough knowledge of SAP system capabilities and functions as a key contributor on projects dealing with development and implementation of enhancements
Sox and Compliance
• Ensure team is in compliance with all applicable Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) control objectives and that identified internal controls for group’s area of responsibility are adequately monitored and functioning as intended.
• Assists Finance Manager in developing, monitoring and periodically evaluating the effectiveness of internal control procedures
• Ensure adequate controls in place to protect integrity of financial numbers including SOX controls and participating in SOX testing.
GL Accounts Master Data Management and Reconciliation
• Prepare new account form to create new accounts or revise master records.
• Update list of preparer and reviewer of accounts in SAP
• Reconciliation of accounts (not assigned) with history of errors and help resolve the discrepancies
• Review/summarize accounts and adjustments to be made/follow up before closing.
• Prepare/review reconciliation procedure for all accounts assigned to General Accounting Area.
• Prepare/review monthly and/or quarterly reconciliation of accounts directly assigned to General Accounting Area.

Yêu cầu ứng viên
• Bachelor’s degree holder, Major in Finance and Accounting
• At least 10 years’ experience with multinational companies in similar team leader/supervisory position
• Experience in VAS, USGAAP, SOX compliance
• Deep knowledge about SAP system
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese
• Familiar with MS Office and Accounting Software
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Committed, with high sense of responsibility
• Demonstrated strong leadership and ability to work under pressure
