PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Sale manager (SM) will give vision, direction and leadership of direct sale basing on VA philosophy, objectives and strategies, ensuring VA is provided with optimal direct sale plan to develop its business. The post holder will be responsible for the overall direct sales at hotels, local tour desks and secondary Travel Agents of VA. While the SM role has a principally sale focus, the role also incorporates some operational duties in sharing with managers responsibility for the conduct of all of the operational duties of VA.

SCOPE
The SM will set up overall VA direct sale plan at hotels to present to the VA Directors and reports to the Branch Manager and Board of Management. with regarding to activities of sales. The SM will provide weekly and monthly report to Branch Manager and Board of Management. The monthly report will include but not be limited to reporting on the status of prioritized sale activities. Reporting will be both historical and forward looking. Failure to provide these services in an efficient and effective manner will result in disruption in the provision of services.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Sales:
1. Managing direct sale plan of VA at hotels including developing, implementing, monitoring and report.
2. Acting as a team leaders of the direct sale team including all sale agents of other companies and partners (sale agents, concierge, and receptionists at hotels…)
• Master all VA’s products and policies (rates, commission, discount…) then recruit and train the direct sale teams at hotels and local tour desks VA the products and policies
• Create plan and conduct hotel visits to present VA service and keep hotels staff up to date with marketing materials, tour itineraries, and pricing.
• Keep tracks of Sales at hotels for record and based on the record, suggesting actions to promote the sales at hotels.
• Create and maintain good relationship with hotels team, making sure that contracts (if any) are followed and commission are delivered as policy.
3. Support Sales at Café Zoom:
• Promote the tours with café guests
• Up sale tour guests for another tour, example: people going on day tour, show them videos of the night tour…
• Look for daily specials for tours the Company wishes to push that day.
4. In charge of the sales at Travel Agents.
• Create and build strong relationship with these secondary agents
• Give presentations of VA services, dealing with inquiries regarding pricing and contracts
• Follow up with signed contracts and records at Travel Agents
5. Take care of Corporates, International Schools and Embassies/ Consulates Sales
6. Inform the Branch Manager and Board of Management of all problems concerning Company customers within the sales territory.
7. Assist in sale activities via telephone direct sale and VA tour desk.
8. Support Branch Manager and Board of Management in Sales Calls at VA key accounts.
9. Support Operators in reconfirmation of the tours. This includes guests booked from hotels, travel agents or call in.
10. Contribute ideas for VA further development (if there is).
11. Work closely with Branch Manager and the Communication and Marketing Manager to develop and manage sale and marketing campaign to upscale sales.
Above and beyond these daily responsibilities, this position is regularly called upon to consult /support with other corporate directors/partners on matters related to new tour development, tour operations, corporate governance, payment and accounting and daily tour operation.
12. Be responsible of weekly updates and monthly Sales reports to Branch Manager and Board of Management; keep track of the sales record and hotel visit data base.
