Teacher GMAT/ GRE/ IELTS

POSITION SUMMARY: ESL teachers can work at the secondary and post-secondary levels or as adult education instructors providing English instruction to classes or individual students. ESL teachers may require extra training to learn the special needs of adult and child learners.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1) Teaching
o Ability to work in evenings and/or at the weekend.
o Assessing, recording and reporting on student progress
o Maintaining discipline amongst students under one’s care and safeguarding their health and safety at all times
o Maintaining teaching standard in line with TALEED Academy standards and observation forms
o Planning and preparing high quality test preparation classes
o Teaching according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students;
o Teaching classes assigned at one or multiple centers.
o Travelling and conducting lessons at multiple centers in HCMC.

2) Professional development and Staff meetings
o Commitment to professional development at TALEED including regular observations by Academic Management
o Nurture a culture where teachers view themselves essentially as facilitators of learning and reflective practitioners
o Participating in meetings which relate to the curriculum of the school or the administration or organization of the school
o Undertaking any development / training opportunities suggested by management

3) Miscellaneous
• All other reasonable duties given by the Academic Manager.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:

o 1 year of experience in teaching and solving IELTS, TOEFL, GMAT and GRE tests.
o Experienced in teaching Math and Verbal
o A great deal of energy and enthusiasm
o A native Vietnamese national who graduate from colleges and universities in Europe, North America, Australia, or Singapore. Consideration will also go to those studied in Vietnamese prestigious universities.
o Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently
o Excellent interpersonal skills
o Highly organized and able to work within deadlines
o Minimum of 7.5 on the IELTS exam
o Vietnamese teacher
