Software Architect - Web Development

Who you are…
- You are able to architect and design highly scalable, resource- efficient and maintainable solutions and systems
You should have very good understanding of systems engineering, algorithms, scalability, and SOLID development principles. You will establish architectural vision and technical roadmaps for the current product suites being supported.
- You are an advocate of consistent delivery of working software in order to satisfy customers and stakeholders
As one of the key members of the web development team, you able to provide high level guidance and direction to every team member by offering key technical inputs, best practices and recommendations to advance software development practices. You are capable of assisting developers to resolve roadblocks and help them enhance their current skills and approaches.
- You are to ensure that new systems are built in a way that best ensures the functional requirements are met whilst also ensures that service qualities (performance, scalability, extensibility etc.) are achievable.
- You are a champion of DevOps and efficient, cost-effective use of latest technologies throughout the company

Responsibilities
- As a Software Architect, you will lead and help define the assigned product/s development’s technical roadmap with continuous delivery of high-performing, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions as the primary objective. You will provide support to one or more product developments in the VietNam office. Likewise, you are expected to collaborate with Zimi Tech’s Software Architects and Product and Development management in the Philippines.
- Establish and lead the execution of architectural vision and technical roadmaps for the current product suites being supported. This includes enabling team members and stakeholders to understand this vision through visuals, documentation, training, etc.
- Advocate early and consistent delivery of working software in order to satisfy customers and business.
- Provide guidance and direction to team members by offering key technical inputs, best practices and recommendations to advance software development practices. Some of these include but are not limited to:
+ Sign-off on technical implementation plans, change management and releases
+ Spearhead learning, research and POCs on new technologies and solutions
+ Lead code reviews, technical evaluations, and coaching
+ Work with Project/Product management to balance delivery of timely, high-quality, and cost-effective solutions
- Assist developers to resolve roadblocks and help them enhance their current skills and approaches.
- Ensure that new systems are built in a way that best ensures the functional requirements are met whilst also ensures that service qualities (performance, scalability, extensibility etc.) are achievable.
- Lead and enable the development team’s capability to have a reliable and consistent software delivery pipeline.
Regularly contribute software development tasks according to the team’s product delivery and technical roadmap priorities.
- Advocate and lead the development team towards technical excellence.
- Software Architect will report to the company Director.

To be successful in this role, you should have…
- Minimum of 10 years of web development experience with solid skills in engineering full stack solutions, system architecture and agile software development methodologies.
- Significant experience of being a Web Development Manager or in a senior role with track record of developing technology that solves complex system challenges.
- Demonstrated track record in writing high quality codes using oneor more of these programming languages: PHP, Python, Java, .Net technologies, Javascript, front-end frameworks.
- Experience writing and implementing APIs.
- Experience and ability to implement cloud server solutions, preferably in AWS.
- Proficiency with databases including SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Exposure in interacting with the business stakeholders and able to interpret business requirements into technical specifications to produce high quality websites and applications in a timely manner.
- Ability to motivate and inspire confidence in others through his/her actions.
- Strong skills in critical thinking and analysis, meeting facilitation, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions.
