Oil, Gas & Chemical Business Manager

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Make SGS the clear number 1 in the business in the country (market penetration, customer impact, quality, innovation, operational excellence and people)
- Achieve P&L target agreed upon with MD and Regional business head
- Achieve continuous profitable sales growth through active marketing and superior customer relationships and innovative services
- Manage, Coach and Develop local key people

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:
- Manage performance/P&L of local business unit
- Run all aspects of the business (marketing, sales, technical and execution)
- Develop action plans to achieve medium-term targets and deliver the budget
- Implement business/country strategies
- Implement necessary processes for adequate and consistent quality of execution and meeting HSE requirements (in line with business processes and group targets)
- Instruct and supervise staff in TIC methods, procedures and technical requirements
- Leverage best practice in the business
- Control all direct costs and improve continuously productivity achieving documented Key Performance Indicators and Productivity targets
- Develop and implement new business ideas
- Optimise the operational network and the organisation as required
- Coach develop, evaluate coordinators or section managers
- In the absence of Manager, Coordinator (or Administrator) is deputized to instruct and supervise inspectors/assessors in inspection methods, procedures and technical requirements.

PROFILE:
- Management skill (planning, organizing, leadership and verifying – preferably with training or degree in management or 5 years management experience)
- Strong focus on business management, business development and ensuing OGC maintains a sturdy customer focus
- Fundamental knowledge of related business activities

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Solid commercial knowledge in upstream and/or downstream Oil, Gas and Chemical related sector
- Strong business management and people leadership skills
- Able to build trust and respect within the OGC team and with other businesses
- Ability to deliver with integrity and uphold confidentiality
- Able to act quickly and decisively and able to make tough calls
- Ability to fosters Innovation, think strategically, develop and translates strategy into actions
- Able to develop self and others, collaborates effectively across borders
- Able to builds high performance team, embraces change and delivers superior results

OTHER/CONTACT US
- This position will interface with SGS Affiliates, Clients, Regional Business Managers, MD and other Businesses within the affiliate and group.
- It is expected that extensive travel within Vietnam will be required to fulfil this function
- International travel to regional meetings and regional sales / marketing events will be necessary to fulfil this function
- This position will be based in HCMC at the Tan Binh Laboratory
- Key Performance Indicators likely to include:
+ Sales growth, profitability and profit margin of local business unit (local currency)
+ Operational performance/productivity (e.g., # of inspections/employee, % of indirect costs) and productivity improvement
+ Customer impact/ satisfaction
+ Market penetration
