IT Officer / IT Support

SYSTEM & NETWORKING INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING/DESIGNING
• Planning Network, Internet Services
• Ensuring the PTW network runs uninterrupted during all active office hours

IT SUPPORT
• Be first point of contact for issues arising in the IT sector
• Day to day hardware and software support throughout the Office
• Administering network user, access right and project directory structure

PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF COMPUTER SUPPORT EQUIPMENT AND SOFWARE
• Arranging for all computer support related purchase
• Developing and maintaining records of hardware purchases, configurations, warranty dates
• Installing and maintaining the smooth operating systems and the Core office software

MAINTENANCE
• Maintain the company system, network infrastructure.
• Ensure the lowest downtime of the servers & workstations.
• Maintain the good performance of the servers & workstations.
• Maintain the history of modification made to the IT system & problems.
• Maintain the Internet Connection & availability of Servers.

SECURITY
• Protect the network against leakage of data as well as respect sensitive information such as passwords, license keys and other non-IT related sensitive data.
• Ensure that all exported data must be authorized and imported data must be scanned against virus as well as to be validated.
• Not to compromise any network intrusion activities.

INTERNAL RECORDS
• Developing and maintaining records of network configuration, network access security, file structure
• Developing and maintaining records of software purchases, registration, licence compliance
• Developing and maintaining records of computer support monthly and annual budget expenditure
• Monitoring and maintaining network performance

Graduated from University or College in Information Technology.
- At least 4 years experience in providing users with IT technical support.
- MCP/MCSA possession would be an advantage.
- Good English speaking, reading and writing skills.

Performance standards:
- Great knowledge of Networking and Internetworking technologies.
- Great knowledge of Network Operating Systems especially in MS Windows Server, Linux.
- Knowledge of Firewall/Gateway, Email, Collaboration, Database and Anti-Virus/Spam/Spy-ware solutions & applications. Knowledge of electronics is preferred.
- Active Learning and Up-to-date knowledge is essential. Certifications are preferred.
- Coordination & Active listening skills are essential. Great Command of English.
- Technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills on PCs, printers, scanner…etc.
- Network, PCs, printers and server maintenance.
- Strong knowledge in troubleshooting, assembly PC hardware, printers, peripherals.
- Application software installation and support.
- Good knowledge of LAN administration, DNS, DHCP, Win 2003, Win XP, Ms Outlook, Email, Anti-virus, ADSL.
- Knowledge of Revit, CAD software, Autocad, 3D Max/
