General Accountant

Review and verify invoices and check requests
Sort, code and match invoices
Set invoices up for payment
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Communicate with vendors and respond to inquiries
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
Monthly VAT report preparation and submission
Check and verify cash transactions; investigate and propose possible resolutions for any discrepancies
Take care of the cash management system of the company and their payment mechanism
Responsible for following up on financial transactions, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
Assist with month end closing
Assist with other projects as needed

Minimum 1 year of AR/AP experience
Degree in business/economics, finance, accounting or any other related field
Must be well organized and a self-starter
Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
Proficient in Excel and Word and accounting systems is a plus
Knowledge on VAT, and other taxes
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
Ability to speak and write in English
Experience in a multinational company will be an advantage
