Communications and Media Manager

mClinica is hiring a HCMC-based Communications and Media Manager to improve our global communications. The Manager reports to the Director of Public Affairs and is responsible for executing a variety of communications-related tasks and projects.

We are looking for a highly ambitious, dynamic individual who is a strong writer, a self-starter, and will take a customer-service approach to working with mClinica’s marketing and local teams. The Manager will proactively identify opportunities to build and promote the reputation of mClinica with many audiences, coordinate projects, and complete tasks effectively and on time. Responsibilities will include media relations activities, writing, research, planning and delivery.

Experience in media relations with a strong ability to produce content for mClinica new media outlets, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other platforms as necessary. The Manager will monitor and respond to content through new media outlets. She or he will also stay current on public health and pharmaceutical industry trends, changes in new media platforms, and new tools and techniques for producing and placing relevant content.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
● Will quantify and summarize mClinica’s previous external communications performance
● Will develop and deliver optimized external communications plans for governments, NGOs and bilaterals, pharmaceutical sector clients, and investors
● Will manage a team of content writers and edit copy for internal and external distribution
● Will post social media content, monitor accounts for activity, and engage with audience
● Will pitch and place selected content in local, regional, and global press outlets
● Will work closely with the Director of Public Affairs, Head of Marketing, and local teams in Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Cambodia to create outreach and engagement campaigns
● Other tasks as needed

Your profile:
● Bachelor's degree with concentration in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, Creative Writing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
● Minimum 3 years’ experience in a communications role required, with a preferred focus on corporate communications or public relations
● Experience pitching and placing content in the press
● Demonstrated interest in pharmaceuticals and/or public health
● Ability to thrive in a fast-changing startup environment
● Fluent in English, other regional languages a plus (Vietnamese, Bahasa, Tagalog, Khmer, Thai, and/or Chinese)
