Capital Projects & Infrastructure Manager, M&A Deals

In 2016, PwC Vietnam formally established a dedicated Capital Projects & Infrastructure (CP&I) advisory team, which is headed by an internationally recognized subject matter expert in the fields of Infrastructure and Urban Development. The Vietnam CP&I practice had been serviced by regional network members prior to 2016, and continues to draw on regional and global network expertise as needed to deliver client assignments.
The Capital Projects and Infrastructure advisory team at PwC Vietnam has been actively involved across a wide array of infrastructure sectors including in power sector. Notably, the team is actively engaged with The World Bank on the design of national solar auction program for Vietnam and recently also supported the Asian Development Bank on its initiative in the first of its kind floating solar project in Vietnam and on the private sector side, the team is actively supporting the clientele across the deals cycle for penetration in Vietnam’s RE market thereby providing a full spectrum of understanding from the Government, donor agencies and private sector perspective. PwC Vietnam also actively supports foreign clients in assessing the financial feasibility (including risk assessment) of investing in numerous proposed utility-scale solar projects in Vietnam. The CP&I team is also involved in some of most strategic national level engagements in Vietnam both with the public sector as well as World Bank.


We are pleased to invite ambitious and highly-qualified candidates to apply for a Manager position,based in our Ho Chi Minh City office.

Key responsibilities:
• Support the CP&I team to develop and expand our client base to identify and convert advisory opportunities.
• Project execution/delivery and team management independently.
• Be able to build up or carry out review of complicated financial model for both infrastructure and real estate project.
• Using existing network of clients and contacts to help increasing client connections and bringing in opportunities.
• Forming close relationships with colleagues across a range of different disciplines within PwC Vietnam firm and PwC network
• Maintaining close involvement with the broader deals team to ensure effective ongoing exchange of knowledge and provision of specialist input.
• Based on understanding of client’s context and project/assignment objectives, be able to analyse client’s requirements/needs to brainstorm and bring out adequate scope/approach to support client for solving problems/issues.
• Understanding and analysing a client’s financing needs and providing financial analysis to allow the identification of funding structures to meet them.
• Developing the necessary financial analysis to support the execution of project finance advisory mandates to tight deadlines.
• Assisting in the ongoing development of the team

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering or related field
• Master's Degree in Business or Finance related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 -8 years of infrastructure (power, road, logistics, transport, port) & public sector project, or investment / consulting/ deal advisory/ project financing
• Relevant experience in a managerial role in a large, global or fast-growing client service organization.
• Practical industry experience combined with experience in consulting / investment banking is a significant plus.
• Excellent understanding of the current Vietnam’s infrastructure and real estate market.
• Experience in building and maintaining strong relations with key industry contacts.
• Must have significant emerging markets experience preference will be given to candidates with existing experience in Vietnam.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading projects and diverse teams.
Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
• Strong negotiation skills - persuading and influencing.
• Lead and supervise teams and team activities.
• Excellent relationship and networking skills proven track record of dealing with senior client contacts.
• Project management skills ability to manage across multiple and complex projects
