What is the focus of the role?

Our BDM for the Vietnam office will report into the Director of Talent, Sydney and will take the lead role in business development for Vietnam.

The focus will be on developing relationships with predominantly foreign-owned entities operating in Vietnam and requiring the services of a recruitment/headhunting firm to assist with the recruitment of white-collar roles. The Talent Consultants recruits across all Corporate functions (such as legal, finance, accounting, banking, Insurance HR, technology). Your initial focus will be on the HCMC area, but expansion to other areas in Vietnam may occur.

You will work closely with the existing recruitment team to onboard new clients and ensuring they obtain the highest level of customer service. Longer term, you will also help grow clients from an existing account management perspective.

What will my main responsibilities be?

• Develop and manage the new business development strategy, with input and guidance from the Director of Talent.
• Market mapping exercises of industries, companies, roles, decision makers and roles in market.
• Entering the new prospects and clients into JobAdder system and ensuring data integrity on all tracking and systems is maintained
• Actively prospect for new business opportunities, managing prospects through the full sales process
• Attend events and make client presentations
• Relationship building and maintenance of new and existing clients
• Negotiating and closing sales opportunities and encouraging long-term relationships with key decision makers, through regular contact, meetings and ongoing support and service.
• Responding to requests for proposals
• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with all stakeholders
• Manage escalated issues when needed, and ask for support if unable to resolve matters at his/her level
• Perform other related duties as required

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our local recruitment brand in HCMC. Applicants must have proven sales experience in the headhunting/staffing/recruitment field in Vietnam.

What skills, competencies and qualifications do I need?
• A love of Sales & Service!
• You will be a self-starter, driven by the desire to achieve new sales with new and existing clients, whilst delivering a profitable outcome.
• Proven track record in meeting and exceeding targets in a Business Development role in the recruitment/headhunting/staffing industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong desire to succeed.
• Exceptional negotiation and relationship building skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• This role will be considered a key member of the team requiring a high level of accountability, professionalism and confidentiality.
• You will need a “no fear” attitude when it comes to picking up a phone.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and openness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage-up.
