Accounting Manager

OUT-2 Design is looking for Accounting Manager to join our award-winning team of Architects and Interior Designers in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the managing the day to day accounting & financial aspects of the business. Previous experience working at a foreign architect/interior design firm is desirable but not essential.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary Responsibilities:
• Managing and overseeing the daily accounting operations
• Monitoring and analyzing accounting data to produce financial reports with recommendations to Management, including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and others
• Invoicing and collections including follow-up with clients
• Preparation of data for and coordination of annual audits
• Monitor Tax (Reconciliation between tax reports (VAT, CIT, PIT and all other taxes) and general ledger of accounting software/ accounting books; tax paid and payable) to ensure tax compliance
• Work closely with the accounting service company(s) to ensure accounting reports/ tax report are accurate, on time, and compliant with all up to date Vietnamese laws and regulations that relate to finance and accounting matters
• Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles together with Human Resources (HR)
• Monitor and mentor direct reports and work with HR for any specific training needs
• Research and monitor open accounting issues and identify potential issues or conflicts so corrective measures can be taken
• Meet financial accounting objectives

Detailed Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations including:
• End-of-month and end-of-year processes including close-out and monthly reconciliation
• Accounts payable/receivable
• Cash receipts/ petty cash
• General ledger
• Expenses and utilities
• Budgeting: prepare and monitor monthly and yearly budgets
• Cash flow forecasting: including commentary & recommendations
• Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
• Capital assets reconciliations
• Fixed asset activity
• Debt activity
• Provide recommendations
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
Others:
• Handle other tasks as requested.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
• Good working knowledge of Vietnamese and International accounting and finance laws, practices and standards (including taxes, social insurance, etc.)
• Strong communication skills in English and Vietnamese (both speaking & writing)
• 8-10 years of experience working as Accounting Manager/ Chief Accountant
• Good working knowledge of QuickBooks Online Accounting System (Desirable)
• Strong planning, organisational and prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently, proactively and with initiative
• Strong ability to multi-task
• Strong ability to produce & present financial reports
